La collection Gio Ponti, que Molteni&C dédie au grand designer, a vu le jour en 2012 en partenariat avec les Archives Gio Ponti et les héritiers Ponti, sous la direction artistique du Studio Cerri & Associati. Cet hommage à l’un des architectes les plus complexes du XXe siècle est également une opportunité d’échanger avec l’histoire, renouvelant ainsi l’attention portée aux figures majeures de l’architecture italienne et internationale.
The lengthy process of researching, studying and selecting, conducted in the archives with Ponti’s heirs, led to re-editions of historic furniture and collector’s objects originally designed by Ponti for private homes, special projects or small series. While respecting the originals, the new additions were, however, produced industrially, applying the latest technologies, to bring them up to date, in line with Molteni&C’s total living concept and with contemporary living.
