The Molteni Group is inaugurating the first Molteni&C Flagship Store in Malaysia, as evidence of the Group’s continual expansion in the global scenario of contemporary design. The Molteni&C Flagship Store is opened in collaboration with Stanzo, a luxury furniture gallery with a reputation that is built on providing imported furniture with contemporary design and craftsmanship built to last. Since 2013 Stanzo provides timeless, refined home furnishings that make every day living elegant. In 2021, Stanzo Italia was established, presenting Italian design in the most comprehensive manner. The entrance welcomes visitors into a daytime area that is perfectly aligned with the first kitchen on display, where Vincent Van Duysen’s Intersection and Francesco Meda’s Woody chairs are in perfect harmony with the Arc Table by Foster+Partners. The space expands to host a second daytime area featuring pieces by the Belgian architect and creative director himself, such as his VVD kitchen, his Gregor sofa and his Hector bookcase, along with Ron Gilad’s 45°/coffee table and Piccadilly armchairs. Moving on through the space, a Paul sofa by Van Duysen, paired with Louisa small tables, are framed by the Palette carpet.
The journey through a world of materials culminates in a generous space dedicated to the night-time, featuring a wide range of Molteni&C proposals: Hector Night, Gliss Master and Ribbon bed create the perfect welcoming atmosphere.
The Molteni&C Heritage Collection is visible from the very beginning of the pathway, with the iconic Round D.154.5 armchair, the D.847.1 writing desk and the D.552.2 small tables, all signed by Gio Ponti.
The result is a highly impactful setting that exhibits and enhances the Molteni&C collections, creating a warm, welcoming and experiential space.
