The store
The Molteni Group is opening the doors of the Molteni&C Flagship Store in Reims, a further sign of the brand’s strength in the contemporary design scene and a confirmation of the importance of the French market. The Store is the result of a collaboration with Grégory Guillemain, who has been creating fluidity and harmony in interior spaces for over 20 years.
The boutique presents Molteni&C most recent collections as well as its emblematic pieces, created through the collaboration of leading designers and the know-how of Italian artisans. An elegant, sleek, graceful but domestic space where customers have the chance to experience a sequence of evocative settings. The furnishings are spread over a single 200 m² floor, in an intimate and cosy ambience that fully represents Molteni&C Italian savoir-faire.
The path through the store starts from an entrance dedicated to the living area, where the leading role is played by the Paul sofa, designed by the Belgian architect and Molteni&C creative director Vincent Van Duysen. It harmoniously blends with the iconic D.847.1: a writing desk that, more than 70 years after its original design, has been revived thanks to Molteni&C Heritage Collection re-edition project, in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives. Among the furnishings completing the first living area proposal is the 505UP bookcase by Nicola Gallizia, which lends a timeless elegance to the space. The walkway, framed by System 7, leads visitors to the first area dedicated to the kitchen, where a configuration of the Prime model welcomes them into an enclosed and elegant environment that combines simplicity and inventiveness.
The space continues into a refined living room, made unique by a configuration of the Marteen sofa by Van Duysen. Nature fits harmoniously into the exhibition design, with an outdoor space of almost 60 m2 enriched with green elements that, thanks to the large windows, allow guests to perceive the connection between indoors and outdoors.
The result is a striking environment that presents and enhances the Molteni&C collections, creating a warm, welcoming and experiential space.
