Modern, elegant designer shelving, mirrors, as well as frames that have made history and soft blankets in precious wool or cashmere. Molteni&C accessories can enrich or add character to a domestic ambiance, spreading their influence to the surrounding rooms and bringing style and elegance to the entire home. The delicate choices of wood-finish panelling could be the ideal solution for creating a secluded and relaxing corner in which to sleep, read or eat. Design is king, and its undisputed master is the Israeli Ron Gilad who, with his Grado° collection, was a finalist at the XXIII Compasso d’Oro, the most prestigious industrial design competition in the world. The lightweight Grado° Bookshelf is an incredibly versatile item of furniture, thanks above all to the large number of finishes available: aluminium, chrome or pewter for the metal structure and a wide choice of lacquered colours and woods for the back, making it ideal for any interior. For the Grado° collection, Ron Gilad has created another equally versatile bookshelf with a modern, contemporary design: 10°/Mensola, whose main characteristics are a diamond-shaped perimeter and a tapered form, appears to "enter the wall", bringing our perceptions into question and creating an element of surprise. But the Molteni&C accessory range does not stop at bookshelves: plunging into a past that continues to be so pleasingly current, we are lucky enough to be able to draw on a collection designed by one of the greatest architects of all time, Gio Ponti. D.355.1 is a suspended elm-finish bookcase with hand-painted white sections, redesigned several times by the architect. Today it is produced in the version chosen by Gio Ponti to furnish his house on Via Dezza in Milan. The historic D.950.1 frames, designed in the 1950s, are made of hand-painted white solid wood and come in three different sizes, all available in two versions, with or without mirror. Another type of mirror is the Domino, in silver-plated glass with a steel frame designed by Nicola Gallizia, who also created the unmistakeable Fantasia armchair, Tetris small tables and the entire Domino and Domino Next collection. Vincent Van Duysen proposes Screen, a eucalyptus or graphite oak panel, the ideal solution for separating areas and creating secluded corners. The ends are foldable to adapt to the needs of every type of interior, an ideal solution to combine with Molteni&C beds, tables and sofas. The same versatility is true of the Anton bench by Vincent Van Duysen and the Euston pouffe by Rodolfo Dordoni, both available in various sizes and a wide and colourful range of fabrics and leathers. A Molteni&C-style home demands accessories such as the blankets created by Milanese stylist Marta Ferri. Soft, lightweight and impalpable, they are the result of careful selection of the very best Australian merino wool on the market: its fineness, just 16.5 microns, has received major recognition by the Woolmark Company, the global authority that certifies the purity of this type of fibre. Sketch, warped with 100% cotton, is made with technical jacquard with extremely high-definition imagery and is ideal for all four seasons. Finally, Sable is a blanket made of the finest, most exquisite cashmere on the market, produced from the coat of the Hircus goat originating from the uplands of Central Asia.
