Roberto Ruspoli ‘Meditations on Mural Art’ Exhibit and Live Painting at the Miami Flagship Store

The Molteni&C Miami Flagship Store is honored to present the ‘Meditations on Mural Art’ exhibit and live mural painting performance by celebrated artist Roberto Ruspoli during Design Miami December 6–10, 2023. Known for his large-scale murals inspired by classical themes, Ruspoli's work merges ancient aesthetics with a contemporary context, earning him a global reputation as ‘the artist who reinvented the fresco’.

Creative director Vincent Van Duysen recognized the synergy between Ruspoli's work and the 2023 Collection’s historical Domus Romana inspirations. This led to a collaboration for our installation at Salone del Mobile: a charcoal fresco that adorned the walls of the Molteni&C headquarters in Giussano, Italy, blending classical figures with natural elements and water.

Now, as part of the Design Miami event, Molteni&C has invited Roberto Ruspoli to continue his artistic journey with a live performance wherein Ruspoli creates a new mural before an audience.

In addition to the live mural, the ‘Meditations on Mural Art’ exhibit will showcase three existing Robert Ruspoli works on canvas, inspired by the classical world and the colors of ancient Greek vases, reflecting a balance of restraint and power.
