Giovanni “Gio” Ponti（米兰，1891年11月18日~米兰，1979年9月16日），20世纪最重要的建筑大师之一。除了许多明显带有他设计特色的伟大建筑作品之外，也在家具领域中创作了大量作品。他在米兰的三间房屋就是最佳的实证，这些屋子皆完全以独一无二的「Ponti」风格布置。
是意大利工业设计的伟大推广人，他提倡着量化生产的室内家具必须都是「精致的」、高质量的、经济实惠的、「民主的」、时尚的与国际化的解决方案。

Gio Ponti系列是Molteni&C向伟大设计师致敬的系列，于2012年偕同Gio Ponti Archives档案馆与Ponti继承人，在Studio Cerri & Associati担任艺术指导的合作下展出。
这不但向五十多年的职业生涯致敬，也是接触历史并重新关注意大利与国际建筑界领军人物的机会。
漫长的研究、学习和挑选过程，让我们得以重现出伟大设计师为私人住宅、特别项目或甚至是小型成套系列所创作的历史品项。
每件制品在尊重原始设计的原则下，也加入应用最新技术的工业化生产方式，这使得每件制品不但具备与时俱进的特质，也符合 Molteni&C 的整体生活以及当代生活的理念。

这套系列在每年都会新增新的元素，其中包括了由Gio Ponti在1935到1950年间所设计的品项，如最早摆设在米兰Palazzo Montecatin的D.235.1/2椅、在加拉加斯Villa Planchar的D.154.2扶手椅以及为Singer & Sons椅限量系列生产的D.555.2茶几。每件制品皆备有证实其正统身分，由Gio Ponti Archives档案馆依渐进数字签发的真品证书。
