La colección Gio Ponti, que Molteni&C dedica al gran diseñador, vio la luz en 2012 en colaboración con los Gio Ponti Archives y los herederos de Ponti bajo la dirección artística de Studio Cerri & Associati. Es un homenaje a uno de los arquitectos más complejos del siglo XX y toda una oportunidad para intercambiar puntos de vista sobre la historia, renovando así la atención por las principales figuras de la arquitectura italiana e internacional.
The lengthy process of researching, studying and selecting, conducted in the archives with Ponti’s heirs, led to re-editions of historic furniture and collector’s objects originally designed by Ponti for private homes, special projects or small series. While respecting the originals, the new additions were, however, produced industrially, applying the latest technologies, to bring them up to date, in line with Molteni&C’s total living concept and with contemporary living.
