Ron Gilad est né en 1972 à Tel Aviv. Après quelques années à New York, il vit et travaille actuellement entre Tel Aviv et Milan. Les objets hybrides de Ron Gilad associent l'esprit concret au jeu esthétique et se positionnent entre l'abstrait et le fonctionnel. A la demande d'une collaboration avec Molteni&C, Ron Gilad se demanda en premier s'il devait se comporter en designer ou demeurer authentiquement lui-même. Il trouve une réponse à ce doute en réuscissant à établir une connexion entre ses idées artistiques les plus abstraites et les mécanismes commerciaux de l'industrie, en les convertissant en produits de design intélligent.
