Molteni&C inaugurates a new Flagship Store in the heart of Copenhagen, consolidating its collaboration with INTERSTUDIO, a Danish partner with over 50 years of experience in the world of interior design. The Molteni&C collections are presented in a series of sophisticated and cosy settings, in an exhibition space of almost 200 m2 on the first floor of Galleri K, located in the capital’s central design district.
The main entrance invites guests to immerse themselves in a journey of discovery of the best-sellers and most iconic pieces of the Molteni&C collections, designed by some of the most prominent architects and designers on the Italian and international scene. Patricia Urquiola’s Asterias table, the star of the first small atrium, flanks a lounge area in which two Margou armchairs and the Louisa coffee table, both designed by Molteni&C creative director Vincent Van Duysen, combine with the fireplace to create an intimate atmosphere.
A small green area gives a glimpse into a first living space proposal, where the Paul sofa plays the starring role. An exemplar of the Elain armchair and Dante Bonuccelli’s Password system complete the furnishings. The Hector bookcase, in its Night version, is the perfect solution for introducing a walk-in closet concept, where the Vibrazioni rug is framed by the Gliss Master, the flagship of the Molteni&C night collections.
Moving on in the space, the majestic and iconic Piroscafo, placed alongside a material library dedicated to design, is the backdrop for the Filigree table by Dordoni, accompanied by Chelsea seatings.
The dining area leads directly to the VVD kitchen by Van Duysen, where alternating materials and the interplay of solids and voids create a dynamic yet elegant kitchen. All the pieces are displayed to showcase the Italian savoir-faire, laying on a travertine floor that is both inviting and sophisticated.
