After establishing itself on the international scene as a reference brand, as well as a reference point of Made in Italy, for its sofas and other interior design furniture, Molteni also wanted to celebrate life and open-air spaces, those that mark the union between the domestic environment and the surrounding nature.
The first Molteni Outdoor Collections start from the creativity and inspirations of designers such as Vincent Van Duysen and Gio Ponti, to then develop according to that philosophy which, just like for indoor environments, aims to combine comfort and elegance, proposing solutions that are not only functional, but able to stimulate and make even spaces like the welcoming garden, which thus become the natural continuation of the domestic environment.
Regardless of the choices of design and materials, refinement and preciseness are present in every single proposal, as well as the harmony between the different elements that make up the collections, designed to offer a variety of sensations capable of generating emotions and making you feel at home.
THE INSPIRATION AND DESIGN OF MOLTENI OUTDOORS
As underlined by the creative director of the company Vincent Van Duysen himself, the idea of continuing the dialogue between the different rooms of the house is the basis of the Molteni Outdoor proposal.
With his characteristic architectural vision of furniture, Van Duysen tries to convey, with the coordination of the first Molteni&C Outdoor collections, the concept of permeability between indoor and outdoor spaces, in an attempt to recreate that sense of welcome typical of living rooms and other outdoor environments, also outside, to be able to rediscover the joy of living in the open air without forgetting elegance and attention to detail.
The two collections coordinated by Van Duysen are actually quite different from each other, and include products resulting from prestigious names in international design, such as Gio Ponti, Nicola Gallizia, Foster + Partners and Ron Gilad. Each designer thus enriches the Molteni Outdoor universe with different concepts, all capable of living within the same harmonious narrative.
THE MOST REQUESTED OUTDOOR FURNITURE
The collections that mark the debut of Molteni&C in outdoor furniture boast various exclusive elements, which represent the most logical result of the company's path in the art of living, now also understood in the open air.
The Palinfrasca sofa of the Landmark collection, a project by Luca Meda that sees teak wood as the protagonist and the structure born precisely from its interweaving, to a more material collection such as Timeout, made up for example of the Phoenix sofa and armchair, expression of a modern architecture that interprets bronzed metal workings in a modern key, combining them with a fascinating intertwining of ropes and natural materials.
Among the proposals, some carpets also stand out, whose shapes and materials evoke a contact with nature, as well as two unique pieces such as the Arc table by Foster + Partners and the Pannacotta coffee tables by Ron Gilad, which are however able to dialogue harmoniously with the rest of the collection.
Sag'80 brings together the best of Made in Italy design at its showroom in Corso Europa 2, Milan and is therefore the ideal place to get to know Molteni's Outdoor proposals and understand how to make even the outdoor spaces of your home exclusive.
