At its foundation, the Linea armchair features an iconic trumpet-shaped swivel base—an elegant nod to mid-century design, reinterpreted with contemporary fluidity. The sculptural form is further enhanced by a distinctive void in the backrest, a subtle yet impactful detail that lightens its visual presence while maintaining an enveloping sense of comfort.

Crafted with a multilayered pinewood and Polimex frame, fully cushioned in high-density expanded polyurethane foam, Linea delivers an impeccable balance of support and softness. Its upholstery, available in an any fabric or leather from the Molteni&C collection, ensures a tactile and sensorial experience that can be tailored to any setting adding a touch of timeless elegance.

Whether enhancing a refined residential interior or hospitality environment, the Linea armchair is an expression of timeless elegance.

“The Linea armchair represents the fluid continuity of the Molteni&C Collection. With airy shapes and essential lines, it invites an exploration of a design concept that is open and projected towards infinity.”

Vincent Van Duysen

Vincent Van Duysen was born in 1962, in Lokeren, Belgium and graduated in architecture at the Higher Institute of Architecture Sint-Lucas, in Ghent. From 1986 to 1989 he worked in Milan and Brussels. He opened his own studio in Antwerp, in 1990 focusing on architecture and interior design. The relationship between interior design and architecture in his work is profound. Furnishings and accessories are designed with an architectural perspective that is not limited by form, but is expressed with a careful perception of interior space and its relationship to the exterior architecture. By interpreting architecture and redefining its proportions, Van Duysen creates objects of great purity and simplicity that still retain a concrete character and solid form.
