The top, positioned asymmetrically on the structure, has two trays carved into its wood surface, and the central tray is covered in saddle leather. The wood on the rear is made with a pronounced curved shape that allows it to hold small drawers, which are also covered in saddle leather. The legs are made with a complex three-dimensional woodworking technique in which grooves are carved into three sides of the piece. The resulting product shows a good balance of essential style and elegance, simultaneously modern and linear while also refined and rich in expert cabinet-making details.
Matteo Nunziati, born in Bologna in 1972, opened his own studio in Milan in 2000. The Nunziati Studio carries out interior architecture and design, collaborating with leading furniture, lighting and object design companies. Matteo Nunziati’s design approach provides an exchange between interior architecture and product. It has found its place in Italy’s design history, but also in Molteni&C, which is a company that embodies this kind of concept. When his projects are carried out they can be defined as interior design, such as the first Trump Toer in India in 2012.
