The Timeout Collection offers a wide range of seating: in addition to the two-cushion sofa in two sizes, there is also a generously proportioned armchair and a table chair with a slender.
In the seating, the theme of the band of burnished painted aluminium, the fil rouge of the collection, is taken up again in a more leisurely rhythm to create the structure. The bending of the band draws the shape of the backrest and sled bases, with dynamic, agile and angular profiles. A dense, handcrafted polypropylene rope cover is woven onto the metal frame in anthracite, olive green and desert yellow.
Green Point | Stool
More compact in its seating dimensions, the stool from the Timeout Collection has a slender structure, characterised by a flat band in burnished painted aluminium with no corners. Seen in profile, the slender thickness of the band gives the stool a delicate, airy silhouette, contrasting with the dense, textured upholstery in the traditional weave pattern that characterises the entire Timeout Collection. To maximise seating comfort, the backrest is calibrated to properly support the kidneys, while the metal band is also repeated between the two sled bases, creating a comfortable footrest.
Vincent Van Duysen was born in 1962, in Lokeren, Belgium and graduated in architecture at the Higher Institute of Architecture Sint-Lucas, in Ghent. From 1986 to 1989 he worked in Milan and Brussels. He opened his own studio in Antwerp, in 1990 focusing on architecture and interior design. The relationship between interior design and architecture in his work is profound. Furnishings and accessories are designed with an architectural perspective that is not limited by form, but is expressed with a careful perception of interior space and its relationship to the exterior architecture. By interpreting architecture and redefining its proportions, Van Duysen creates objects of great purity and simplicity that still retain a concrete character and solid form.
