New Opening Amsterdam Flagship Store

teilen:

The Molteni Group is inaugurating its first Molteni&C|Dada Flagship Store in Amsterdam. At the Zuidas area, also known as the Financial District of the Netherlands. A space conceived in a completely innovative key, occupying no fewer than 3 levels of the Valley building, one of the most prestigious in the area. Molteni&C|Dada Amsterdam Flagship Store distributes over 800m2 between the ground floor, the 26th and the 27th floors, linked by a private lift, which house the panoramic GREEN gastrobar, entirely furnished with Molteni&C|Dada items, and curated by the chef Peter Lute.

Valley is the Netherlands’ first “vertical village”, completed at the end of 2021. The project was conceived by Winy Maas, an architect renowned for his visionary towns of the future. The building features an irregular facade articulated over green terraces designed by the famous landscape architect Piet Oudolf and extends over a surface of over 75.000m2 including offices, restaurants, luxury apartments, a museum, as well as a vertical public park.

The Molteni&C|Dada Flagship Store is opened in collaboration with Co van der Horst, one of the leading Dutch groups in the interior design field. Founded in 1905, it is now run by the fourth generation of the family, the brothers Edwin and Stephan.

Vincent Van Duysen, direttore creativo Molteni&C|Dada ha curato il progetto di questo spazio unico: un’esperienza immersiva nel mondo Molteni&C|Dada.

The exhibition pathway starts on the ground floor, with a refined preview of a large living room, featuring the Paul sofa and the Louisa coffee table designed by Vincent Van Duysen, alongside two items designed by Gio Ponti and part of the Heritage Collection: the D.154.5 armchair and the D.847.1 desk. A second space is framed by the Dedalo rug, where the set of Marteen chairs takes center stage, beside the 505 Up bookcase designed by Nicola Gallizia. Two pairs of small armchairs complete the space: Vincent Van Duysen’s Margou armchairs and Gio Ponti’s iconic D.154.2, as well as the Hector bookcase.

To reach the private lift that goes up to the penthouse on the 26th floor, the pathway passes through a refined area dedicated to the kitchen featuring Intersection, the peninsular of which is completed by Rodolfo Dordoni’s Devon chairs, just as Michael Anastassiades’ Half a Square table completes the exhibition pathway of the ground floor.

The Molteni&C|Dada experience continues on the 26th floor. A magnificent Penthouse with a great view over the city provides the background to the GREEN gastrobar of the celebrated chef Peter Lute. Two spacious lounges invite guests to make themselves comfortable after lunch or for a drink at sundown in front of the wide windows: on one side a pair of Lucas sofas creates a specular lounge, next to the Walter armchairs designed by Vincent Van Duysen. On the opposite side of the floor the Gregor sofa creates a conversation corner complete with the Kensington armchair, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni.

A grand spiral staircase visually unites the two levels of the top 27th floor, offering a further immersion in the Molteni&C|Dada experience. A circular walkway provides a 360° view over the city: a living room with the Octave chairs designed by creative director Vincent Van Duysen welcomes guests with an elegant Prime kitchen. Visitors then cross an office area where the Less Less table stands beside Aldo Rossi’s iconic Piroscafo bookcase and which gives access, in an imaginary pathway, to a refined wardrobe area.

The lounge is completed by two more pairs of chairs: the iconic Round D.154 and, on the other side of an elegant fireplace, in a cosy corner with a view over Amsterdam’s skyline, two Piccadilly armchairs by Rodolfo Dordoni.

The Palette rug frames Hector Night combined with the Gliss Master wardrobe and leads to an elegant night-time area. This features iconic furnishings by Gio Ponti: the D.754.1 rug and a pair of D.153.1 chairs. Vincent Van Duysen’s Ribbon bed takes pride of place and invites guests to enjoy the view beyond the large window. Visitors again find themselves in an elegant living room in which the Hector bookcase visually subdivides the areas according to their use: on one side Gio Ponti’s large D.859.1 table and Rodolfo Dordoni’s Barbican chairs, on the other a spacious configuration of Vincent Van Duysen’s Marteen sofa and coffee tables.

The result is a highly impactful setting that exhibits and enhances the Molteni&C|Dada collections, creating a warm, welcoming and experiential space.
